  • We were the first fraternity founded on campus in 1966, and have been holding our ground ever since. Kappa Sigma doesn’t just offer a fun college experience, but a brotherhood that lasts a lifetime.
  • Kappa Sigma is the most involved fraternity on campus. We are competitive in every intramural sport. We participate in flag football, basketball, softball, and soccer and make the playoffs every year. Tailgate season is Kappa Sig season. We always have the biggest homecoming tent and we go all out every game. Greek Week is another big event we excel in and are currently the 2014 defending champs. We also throw social events with all the best sororities. Some of our big events every year include Sig’n Slide, Neon Nights, Kowboys and Indians, Kappa Krawfish Boil, White Trash Bash, Cocktail, and Fratty Shack. We also throw our biggest event, FITE NITE, the largest boxing tournament held in the state with over 4,000 attendees and 30 fights.
  • Our house is the best on campus hands down. Our property is located on five acres on the banks of the Blanco River. Our land includes a sand volleyball court, fire pit for bonfires, and a beautiful deck that overlooks the river. Our house was renovated in the spring of 2014 to improve the living conditions. Improvements included a completely redesigned kitchen, new floor tiles and carpeting, and brand new furniture throughout the house. Our alumni association is in the process of building a multi-use facility on the property to house social functions, meetings, and other miscellaneous functions. With our outstanding Alumni support, this project should be completed in the near future.
  • We hold our brothers to certain academic standards. As of Spring 2014, Kappa Sigma has the highest GPA out of all other fraternities on campus. We also scored the highest on the “IFC Standards of Excellence” in fall of 2007 and 2008. We also take pride in giving back to the community. Kappa Sigmas participate in local community service events every semester. This past year we clocked in over 1400 hours and donated over $3,000. Events include: Bobcat Build, Military Heros Campaign, Relay for Life, and San Marcos Area Food Bank.
  • Our alumni are very active within our chapter and are a big reason for our success. Our alumni offer many job opportunities and career guidance for our graduating brothers. Kappa Sigma’s alumni are the only on campus that own box suites in the football stadium. In fact they own four suites and a bar in the stadium as well as the only suite at the baseball stadium which is located in a train caboose located down the first base line.

With the best benefits on campus, you can’t go wrong going Kappa Sigma.
